Kentmere Community Centre, Seacroft, Leeds by Sven Shaw

I was commissioned by the centre to brighten up their activity room with a mural that reflected the local community. After consulting the people of Seacroft, I presented several designs for them to choose from and make suggestions. The final result  incorporated local landmarks and activities to capture the spirit of the town. It features:

• The Green
• The Boxing Club
• Seacroft Windmill
• Methodist Church, now Chapel FM
• Seacroft Hospital tower
• A red kite (after a successful conservation prgramme)

 I worked with volunteers and local children to paint the mural before finishing it off with outlines using a Posca paint pen.
