Denis Healey Centre Mural – Connecting Seacroft by Sven Shaw

I was commissioned by Leeds City Council to design and paint a mural for the Denis Healey Centre in Seacroft, Leeds.

Because it needed to reflect the local community, I consulted with the people of Seacroft and  found out what the Denis Helaey Centre meant to them. Based on this research, I designed several different mural options and put it to the people to vote for their favourite.

This is the winning design. It has icons representing the area interwoven with the word Seacroft to build a fabric of the local community.
